Why MiniLab

The classical answer to "we want to measure cells and small samples on a research budget" is to either over-buy a module simulator that wastes 90% of its active area on empty bench, or under-buy a hobby-grade system that cannot deliver certification accuracy. MiniLab is the in-between, real Avalon engineering, sized to small samples, priced for research budgets.

Different cells want different light. MiniLab is configurable across the three measurement regimes the rest of the Nexun line covers, so the right physics is always available, just on a bench.

Steady-state

for perovskite

Continuous LED illumination with the perovskite-friendly 300–1000 nm spectrum, sized for cells and small samples. Run preconditioning sweeps, capture stabilised IV without metastability artefacts, characterise temperature coefficient on a bench, all without leaving the table.

Nexun Pro / Pro Max base

The premium AM1.5G LED engine from Nexun Pro or Pro Max, scaled to a tabletop footprint. Gets you certification-grade silicon IV on small cells and prototype batches with the same spectrum, the same software stack, and the same calibration philosophy as the larger module simulators.

for multi-junction

The patented LED + tungsten-halogen hybrid from Nexun Cosmo, brought down to cell scale. AM0 spectrum, per-junction tunability, and the deep-IR coverage 3J and 4J architectures need, on a bench rather than in a flash hall.

Cell contacting on the same bench, via Grid Touch.

MiniLab pairs cleanly with the Pasan Grid Touch cell-contacting unit. That gives you a complete benchtop measurement station, contact the cell, illuminate, measure, repeat, in a single integrated workflow with the Avalon software stack and the same traceability as the rest of the Nexun line. Especially useful for research groups iterating fast on small batches, where the time saved on each cycle adds up across a project.
